My buddy Henry explained as we pulled out of your parking lot " You know what! Now I know why you stay here when ever you can" Its like meeting up with a long time friend.."Man What a diffrence!!You can keep all those other hotels". "These people are real... not some humps after the bucks".

Thanks again for the great times.

Comments = Dawn and Al: this is our first time staying the the Hiawatha after staying at Derby Inn and Days Inn for many years.  What a gem!  Off the beaten path... great trail access without having to hit the frequently chopped up 10/13... comfortable lobby... sled parking at your door... and wireless internet access to boot!  Keep up the good work.  My fear is that you will get "discovered" and I'll never be able to book a room again.

Comments = Once again Al and Dawn have exceeded our expectations.  We're up Jan 15th - Jan 18th.  Rode Monday and Tuesday on some of the best trails in recent years.  Wanted to go off trail with Al but didn't work out this year, maybe next!  Thanks again for the ride back from Rental Depot, made life a heck of a lot easier.  For anyone who rents sleds like us (no snow/trails in Chicagoland) Highly suggest Rental Depot on the South Side of Town.  FORGET Trackside for Rentals.  Randy is the BEST at the 'Depot'  See ya next year, we RIDE in Spirit ALL year!

On 2006-01-23 from an email
Al and Dawn, I just wanted to send you a quick note letting you know that we really enjoyed our stay at the Hiawatha. We were your guests on Friday 1/20.  I have never seen a more snowmobile orientated establishment than yours.  It was really cool!   We really enjoyed the accommodations and easy access to the trail.
On Saturday we ended up shooting east on 10 and took the long loop down to Three Lakes and over to Sugar Camp.  The trails down there were fabulous!  We stayed in Hurley Saturday night and ended up with 250 miles for the day.
I'm sure we will be visiting again.  Maybe next summer on the bikes!
Regards,
Dustin

He woke up this morning saying Al's favorite phrase: "WE RIDE" and even got the fingers going in the right direction! Al and friends took us out for a five hour, 70 mile ride that went on and off trails. We stopped at a great burger place for lunch and relaxing. The Hiawatha is "THE" place to spend your time when not on the trail. Al & Dawn have created a atmosphere as comfortable as any home. There attention to the customers is beyond compare, great rates, rooms & ammenities. This is the only place I will stay, & recommend in the years to come while traveling to Eagle River. " WE RIDE " Soon..... Bob Hosier, Cedar Rapids, Ia.

Comments = Al & Dawn,
I just wanted to let Everyone know what type of people you two are.
Last February, A Small Group of snowtrackers(25) Decided to have a little get together in Eagle River. The group is internet based, states that were represented IOWA, Wisconsin, Michigan, And I believe Minnesota. Al & Dawn not only were our tour guides but provide a "homey, friendly" Hospitality that is second to none. They go beyond the call of duty. They treat customers more like family not customers. Like another posted stated "Try to get the super 8 manager to do what Al & Dawn do". I now consider Al & Dawn, My friends. And look forward to seeing them again this season. If there were more people like you two the world would be a better place. Thank you. Thad King

that definitely applies to the way you manage the Hiawatha!

Thanks again!
